Our Year 13 Biology students have been exploring the concepts of taxis and kinesis in simple organisms. As part of a required practical, they investigated how different environmental conditions affect the movement and behaviour of maggots.

By observing and analysing their responses to changes in the environment, students developed their understanding of how organisms detect and react to stimuli, while also building valuable practical and data analysis skills.

A fantastic example of scientific investigation in action and excellent preparation for their A Level studies!
