We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 pupils who successfully completed The Scholars Programme with The Brilliant Club this year. Over the Spring and Summer terms, pupils took part in university-style tutorials led by a PhD tutor, developing their academic skills, confidence, and intellectual curiosity. As part of the programme, pupils also worked on an economics project at school, exploring the question, “What is money?” The programme concluded with a visit to University of Manchester, where pupils toured the campus, spoke with university students to gain insight into university life, and attended their graduation ceremony. Their hard work and dedication resulted in outstanding outcomes, achieving five Firsts, five 2:1s, two 2:2s and one 3rd for their final assignment.
