We are incredibly proud of our cadets who represented Wednesfield Academy with excellence and respect at the 80th anniversary of the Lancaster bomber crash. This poignant event honoured the brave crew who lost their lives in Wednesfield, bringing together veterans, civic dignitaries, relatives of the aircrew, and members of the public for a moving service at 11:00 am followed by a breathtaking flypast from one of the UK’s last remaining Lancaster bombers.
The heartfelt comments from attendees, including the local MP and councillors, truly reflect the dedication and professionalism of our cadets, as well as the amazing work being done here at the Academy.
A huge thank you to our cadets, their families, and the staff who supported this significant event. Your contributions made a real difference. Official photos to follow but we’ll be sharing some wonderful moments captured by proud parents in the meantime!
