On Wednesday 7 October 2026, 41 sixth-form pupils took part in the UK Maths Trust (UKMT) Senior Mathematical Challenge, a prestigious competition that celebrates mathematical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.

Our Wednesfield pupils achieved fantastic results, earning one Gold, five Silver and twelve Bronze Awards. Every participant also received a certificate recognising their effort and commitment.

A special congratulations to Gursev (12D1), who secured Gold and was named Best in School. Gursev has also qualified for the next round, the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo Competition, a brilliant achievement!

Well done, too, to Abhi (13K1), who earned the title of Best in Year Group.

We are incredibly proud of all 41 pupils who took part and represented Wednesfield so well!
